Successful Shop

Having a successful shop in Neopia is very difficult. You will need to spend countless hours every day to keep it will restocked and to earn more profits. For example in my shop I sell tons of books at very low prices and since they are very low prices then I tend to make a lot of customers. Read these tips below to have a better and successful shop.

Restocking
To not make restocking hard for you, then I suggest you restock every time you sell an item in your shop. It is really frustrating when you never restock and you have sold over 100 items and having to restock them all at once. That happens to me a lot with my shop. Also if you want to make a little more customers then it will always be great if you stocked more than one of the same item because it will give more people a chance to buy a cheap item from you and you make more profits and it's also easier for you to restock them because if you had over 200 items in your store and when you have finished restocking you had to reset the prices then that will cause a lot of time spent to finish it.

Layout/Appearance
You will always want to try to make your store look nice and do not contain many images in it that makes the page take longer to load. It would be a great appearance if your shop had a nice layout. A layout could be find in many Neopets fan site such as this one and many others. In example of how customers would come to your shop is if you needed to buy an item and it was sold at two stores. Would you rather go to a dirty store or a clean store? Well I am thinking you would want to go to the clean one. So try to make your shop nice to the visitors.

Advertising
Advertising your shop is a great idea to gain more customers. I would suggest you to advertise your shop many places such as the Neoboards, forums, Notice board, websites and etc. Usually if your items are cheap and at marketplace value then you do not really need to advertise your shop. I do not advertise my shop and I make about 50 customers every day since the prices are very low and are affordable.

Items
It's not always best to sell junk items because you do not really sell them for many reasons. You should sell items that people tends to need and would always want to buy. Such as codestones, books, bottled faeries, and etc. and also make sure to stock a lot of it too. Imagine if you bought a junk item for five neopoints then you sell it for six neopoints. Now you do not make much profit here but with some items that are not junk you will probably make around 100-2000 neopoints profit.
